Dear Fred, you are really
getting in touch with some sadness inside and I am glad you are talking to me
and to your friend Emily. Is she a friend? You are right that it is good for
you to talk to someone about your feelings, someone that cares and understands and
shuts up and lets you talk. So good job. How often do you get the message ?
About your questions of being possessed or having a multiple personality
disorder, I will be able to tell you for sure about both of those next time you
come. I think you do not have either, but I do think there are two Freds....the
Fred that you manage and that everyone sees and is nice to everyone and feels
obligated to take care and befriend everyone. Then there is the other Fred, the
real guy, the one no one sees, and he is deep inside and we love him and want
him to come out more...but he is sad and angry and hurt. Jay

BUSY DAY
Thursday, June 14, 2012
It’s been a busy day. After a bowl of three different kinds of cold cereal I dropped in on Tom, my chiropractor and got an adjustment. From there I went for my first visit with my new counselor, Jay Steineckert to work on my depression and panic attacks. He is a former bishop and very personable. We spent much of the hour laughing—and asking and answering questions etc. I told him about the traumatic times in my childhood and my relationship with my Grandfather Jepson. We talked about my dreams and after telling him a couple of them and telling him I have them on computer he said he had to have a copy of them. He said that for next time, 5th of July he wanted me to tell him my three happiest and saddest memories. From there I went to Costco, ate a polish sausage and had a Diet Coke, then went to the hearing aid department. I was there yesterday. Nick said that I was borderline needing hearing aids; then he told me that theirs was one of three Costcos that was going to do a trial test on two to eight people each to try out a new hearing aid and he said that I was an ideal candidate. Today we did some more tests then he made an impression of my ears. The new hearing aids are blue tooth and had some other features and that I can link it to my cell phone and push a button I have clipped onto my shirt and talk on the phone. There is another thing-a-ma-bob that you can plug in into the TV and even if it is on mute I can hear it through the hearing aids. Maybe I will have to reintroduce myself to television…yuck!
From there I got the van cleaned, inside and out.
At 6:30 I had a massage appoint with Emily at Massage Envy. I got there twenty minutes early. Emily (the same girl that gave Judy and me massages a few days ago) saw me and took me in and gave me a wonderful hour and forty-five minute going over.
I have another appointment for the twentieth to concentrate on another are. I guess I am one big knot that needs untying.
Jim
flew in this evening. I think he has a week off but I don’t know if he will be
here the whole time.

Walk and Run mostly walk
Wednesday, June 06, 2012 6:30 p.m.
I
finally forced myself out of the house and went on one my walks. I think I ran (if
you can call it that) for a quarter of a mile or so letting my knees dictate what
I did. As usual I met a lot of people along the way and had to visit of course.
Fortunately the app on my phone pauses when I do and restarts when I get going again.
I walked up to Redwood Road then over to Sherilyn and Marlon’s house. I didn’t knock
because I knew they would be at the church for their daughter Rosemary’s wedding
reception. I stopped in there before I came home.
Kevin’s parents are originally from Jamaica but live in Illinois now.
I don’t know if their children were born there or in the states. We had a good short talk. Kevin’s brother and his wife and three children were there. His wife is oriental. Their three daughters are really cute with the black, oriental combination.
While on my walk I saw the bishop out watering his garden and we visited for a minute or so.
As I was walking away, Zan Oviatt and Mathew Davila came running, hitting me on
the butt and running away. Finally I was able to escape. Kevin’s parents are originally from Jamaica but live in Illinois now.

After that I ran into Don Dixon who was on his way home from his walk as usual he had walked up to the Centennial Chapel, coming back by way of Redwood Road.
I walked for 52:21 minutes for a distance of 2.74 miles. I burned 287 calories. I walked an average speed of 3.1 MPH.

OUCH AGAIN
Friday, June 01, 2012
Wednesday night, Judy and I went to the Hale Center Theater Orem to see the performance of The Secret Garden. I really didn’t feel up to going because of my headache but I knew if I did I would be glad.
On of the main characters was/is Chris Higbee, son of our next-door neighbor or rather, if we back out of our garage we could back into theirs. The whole staff did an excellent job and got a standing ovation at the end.
Chris alone or sometimes with his brother Richard sometimes sing in our ward and Judy always accompany him/them.
In spite of my killer headache I made it a point to go over to Higbee’s and tell Ethelynn we had gone to the show and good a job their son did.

STILL AT IT
I woke up this morning still with the headache. All I have taken for it this
morning is Ibuprofen. We'll see.
After being on my back for a while (hour or so?) I feel "OK" but
when I get up and moving it gets bad again.
At least so far; knock on wood, I haven't had the depression and luckily no
suicidal thoughts or feelings.
