WAVE AFTER WAVE OF HEADACHES

As the title suggests, I have had headaches pretty much constantly for a week or so. Bummer!

I was going to go to see my chiropractor, Tom Allen on Main Street in Lehi but as I suspected he is not open on Tuesdays.

(I called in advance for a change.) I can never remember if it is Tuesday or Wednesday he is not open.

I got my lab results from my doctor, Shelly yesterday. My sugar is good. I am low on sodium and a few other things…fatigue…anemia…

‘NUTHER day ANOTHER DOLLAR

Jim and I went to Lowes to look into building some storage in the garage. We postponed making a definitive decision.

From there we drove to the Paul Mitchell Hair Salon School in Provo and got haircuts. This is where Jim always goes. He likes the scalp massage which ironically this time he didn't get but I got a really good one.

Jim was disappointed to say the least.

Not too far into my "cut" (no clippers here) I got another one of my migraines. Bummer!

I had Jim drive home while I sat in the passenger seat with "shades" one.

Jim got out at home and I left to get Jayden and Bailey from school; early day, 2:40. I got there five minutes early.

The kids climbed in the car and we headed home.

We go in front of their house and Jayden changed his mind; "Take me to Cameron's house."

"Ok" I've been there enough time to knew about where they live. Now I have no question.

At Zach and Cameron's house Jayden jumped out and ran to the front door.

Just as I got ready to leave, Bailey yelled out, "Stop, I'm going in too!"

I laid on Corey and Stacey's bed nursing my migraine until five when I thought I should check up on the kids. Bailey and Zach were in their yard playing with their new dog; a cute little white something or other. She said they were fine.

Twenty or so minutes later they came running down the street. Jayden had run the whole way, maybe a forth to a half a mile. Bailey wasn't far behind. The boy's mother had asked them to go home. She had, had a panic attack when she couldn't find her little girl for a while. She was in her parent's bedroom which was being repainted and there were paint cans all over the place.

That's not why they were running. They just decided to run.

While we were in the living room, Bailey said, "Grandpa, I want to tell you something. Don't tease me, I will get embarrassed and kill you."

"OK, what is it?"

"I gave Dezi my house number and he is going to come and he is going to bring his two dogs!"

Now it's Dezi. Just the other day she was calling him Desmond and they were not really friends.

I am not saying this because of the above, but…I have observed that our little nine year old Bailey is looking, sounding and behaving more and more like a young lady every day!

FROM my DAUGHTER-IN-LAW STACEY’S FACEBOOK PAGE

Corey went to get pizza for dinner tonight. While they were at the pizza place (9 yr old) Bailey said "Dad, are you trying to cheat on Mom?" Corey said, "No way, why would you think that?" Bailey then pointed up and said, "That sign says meat lovers!" Corey laughed and called me right away.,, She has such an awesome sense of humor. I love it.

I finally got Microsoft Office installed on this computer and now I need to figure out how to transfer files from my old one.

This is just a test to see if I got this part right so bear with me.

NUTTEN’ MUCH

Jim is at a party.

Judy is getting a haircut so I am on my own for dinner.

I fried up some old-leftover mushrooms then poured some leftover pizza sauce on them.

Uh; no big deal, so I decided to go to Burger King for a Wopper Jr. with extra onion and extra pickles.

As I was driving by it, I saw the Arctic Circle and decided to drop in there instead.

I ordered a pastrami burger, drink and tatter tots and sat down to eat.

There were three teenage girls at the next table. With a big grin, one of them put one fist on her other hand indicating she wanted to play paper rock scissors.

She first tried to engage the girls behind the counter in a game to no avail. Finally she turned to me. I took the hint and played a game with her.

I won.

She said, "I want a rematch."

I said "OK!" She won this time.

As they got up to leave, she said to me, "You're my new best friend."

I told her she is my best friend too.

WEEKEND IN REVUE

Friday, Corey, Stacey, Jayden and Bailey met Mom (Judy) and me at RC Willey in Murray where they bought a new dishwasher. Their old one has had switch problems from the beginning and finally won't start. They had a similar problem earlier and put in a new switch (the latch for opening and closing the door) and it worked ok for a little while but then it went for good.

From RC Willey we drove to Buca di Peppo for dinner.

Saturday, Judy and Jim and I saw the movie, The Kings Speech about the man who helped King George VI deal with his stuttering problem. It was very good in spite of one scene where there was a lot of swearing. For once I was not offended by the swearing. It was necessary in this case.

After the show we ate at the Japanese restaurant there at Jordan Commons.

Stacey picked up the dishwasher in her van on her lunch break and later Corey took out the old one and installed the new one.

Sunday I was not feeling well and stayed drugged up in bed most of the day.

NO KISSING PARTY

I picked Bailey and Jayden up after school. As usual they came out late giggling and chasing each other, smacking each other with their backpacks etc.

When she got in the car, Bailey giggled and said, "Grandpa, I told Desmond that you tease me about kissing Isaac and Cameron and how I hit you in the arm and make it black and blue, he, he, he"

"So tell me about Desmond. Is he a good kisser?"

"NO, he's a Mexican!" (Whatever difference that makes. He looked like a nice kid.)

I knew I was in for an arm beating for asking if he was a good kisser and I got.

We were driving now.

"Grandpa, there he is, roll down your window."

"Hi Desmond!"

I followed with a hi Desmond of my own and I added, "Bailey loves you"!

I didn't say it loud enough for him to hear me but she shrieked and of course I got another arm beating.

I deserved it.
