Last Tuesday, I think it was Judy and I drove down to Orange County, California to go to Disneyland before our annual passes expire. We were going to fly but Judy set her alarm for Monday instead of Tuesday and the early flight into Long Beach was the only flight all day that looked good. Hurray for non-reving!???
We got there early enough to do Downtown Disney and eat Mexican at Joe’s.
The next day Jim met us and we did a long day of it. I did well but by midday the next day I went back to the hotel.
We drove home Saturday and I have been sick ever since. I have a good head cold, sneezing, coughing, headache, tired…the works.
Oh well I felt like I should put something in this blog; it’s been a while.
Ciao.

THE POOL
Wednesday, February 01, 2012
I walked for two hours in the pool at the Legacy Center in Lehi for two hours expecting Bailey to show up for swim team at four. She never showed. I found out later that she and Jayden had a science fair at school.
When I had about twenty minutes to go, one of two girls about 10-12 said hey/hi to get my attention. She smiled and then started splashing me with water. Soon her friend joined in. the one asked me my name. I said “Fred, what’s yours?” She said “Bob.” I asked her friend her name. She said, “Bill.” After a while a friend came along; a boy. I said “What’s his name, Susie?” They said yes.
They chased me until it was time for me to leave.
Funny kids.

THE LATEST

Last night for Corey’s birthday we and Corey and his family and Niki and hers met at the Olive Garden in The District for dinner. While we were there Jayden mentioned that he asked Christina out for the sixth grade ball.
Bailey announced that Jacob is as dumb (or stupid or whatever the description was) as a sack of rocks.
Today about 5:20 Jayden called me on my cell phone. He was home alone and bored. He said his mother was about five minutes away heading home. We chatted about this and that and nothing in particular. Finally I asked about the sixth grade ball. I asked when it was. He said it was on the 24th of February. I said “Not on Valentines huh?” He said no but there was going to be a dance then too and he asked Christina out for it also.

GLOOMY DAY
Monday, January 16, 2012
The wind has been blowing out of the north since yesterday sometime. It’s dark and gloomy and you know me; I become depressed or anxious or both. Today both! Then to top it all off my van won’t start (I hope I just left a light on or something.) I got in it to go to lunch with Corey so now, Double Whammy!
No jumper cables. We used to have four sets but one by one they have all disappeared…though, if the garage weren’t so cluttered maybe I would find a set by the white storage units.
It’s Martin Luther King Day and Judy didn’t have to go to work but did so anyway around noon to get some stuff done so I am home alone.
It’s a good thing Jayden and Bailey stayed overnight with Grandpa Wayne because I wouldn’t be able to get them; back to the car problems.
