My sweetheart Judy and the rest of the family, grandkids and all
are in Minneapolis for a memorial for Judy’s mother Bev who died not too long
ago of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. She was
age 84 and doing very well when her legs started twitching and it progressed
from there. Fortunately for her, I guess it was rather fast moving.
Anyway, I
started to say that everyone is back there but. I have the flu and am getting
really bored sitting or lying around. When I am lying down I don’t feel so bad
so I get feeling guilty and get up. I go in the kitchen and open the fridge and
pantry but nothing looks good. At least as of last night I am able to hold food
down instead of having it run right through me. Oh, Poop!
Judy with Niki’s
help put together a slide show or PowerPoint presentation of Bev’s life. I’m
sure it will be really good. The one she did when her dad died was excellent.

A few minutes before
the church services started, the congregation was sitting in their pews and
talking.
Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church.
Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate.
Soon the church was empty except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence..
So Satan walked up to the man and said, 'Do you know who I am?'
The man replied, 'Yep, sure do.'
'Aren't you afraid of me?' Satan asked.
'Nope, sure ain't.' said the man.
'Don't you realize I can kill you with one word?' asked Satan.
'Don't doubt it for a minute,' returned the old man, in an even tone.
'Did you know that I can cause you profound, horrifying AGONY for all eternity?' persisted Satan.
'Yep,' was the calm reply.
'And you are still not afraid?' asked Satan.
'Nope,' said the old man.
More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, 'Why aren't you afraid of me?'
The man calmly replied,

MASS KILLERS
I was listening to a talk show on KSL. It was the Doug Wright Show but
there was a guest host. I don’t know who he was. I came in, in the middle of
the broadcast. He was talking about these killings. Then he quoted an expert. I
don’t remember his name or credentials but he had the following information
that “every” person who does these mass shootings. There was a
study done. They even interviewed at least one killer that didn’t kill himself.
And they learned the following:
1.
None of the killers were loners but they were all failed joiners…i.e. they tried to be accepted but
were constantly rejected.
2.
It was not spontaneous but
was well thought out and planned out.
3.
They all gave warning
signs, things they said etc.
4.
They all had a mental
illness…no exception
5.
There was probably more but
this is what I remembered.

GAVIE WAVIE AGAIN
Thursday, November 22, 2012 a couple of Gavinisms
The other day, Gavin and I drove to the airport to pick up the gang from Minnesota. Grandma Bev Dean age 84 is dying or so it seems. Judy has been spending much of her time back there. Chris and Lyn along with Sierra, Niki, Alexa and Gracie went back for a few days to see her too. Gavin and I had time to kill and had a lot of conversations before we got the call from Niki saying they were ready to be picked up. As we were driving to the airport I kept singing a song that was going around and around in my mind. Finally Gavin got tired of it and said “stop singing”. I laughed. At that he said “stop singing and stop laughing. It is noisy”. The song was still stuck in my head and after a few minutes I started singing it again and again Gavin reminded me to stop singing.
After that he got on a wanting to drive to Minnesota thing. I tried to explain to him that it would be a long, long drive and we would have to get a hotel room. He said “Can’t we sleep in the car?” I told him we needed to wait and get his mom and Alexa and Gracie and Sierra. That didn’t seem to sink in or make a difference; he kept up the “let’s drive to Minnesota” thing. After that Gavin said “Grandpa, text a girl but don’t tell her I said to do it.”
Finally Niki called, we drove up into the parking structure and parked.
Gavin and I jumped out of the car and ran for the bathroom as the girls got in the car.

How old is Gavin, four?
